Swim team parents—

A couple critical updates related to volunteer hours for the season:

1) Snack Shack

• Volunteer Hours: Due to a re-evaluation of our Snack Shack operations, we were required to delete all previously scheduled associated events in Swimtopia. As a result, some families may notice changes or gaps in their potential volunteer hours (hours must be verified at the end of the season by the Volunteer Coordinator and reps). We appreciate your patience as we adjust our volunteer system and will provide updated opportunities shortly to ensure all families have a chance to fulfill their hours.
• Donations: When dropping off snack shack donations, please place them in the blue cart or white cooler located in the pavilion. *AND* To verify your donation, scan the QR code posted on the announcement board at the pool.

2) We have 2 volunteer positions we urgently need to fill, which will exempt your family from any further volunteer hours. Both of these positions are EASY and require no training:

• Head Clerk of Course (Saturday): This role makes sure each event's swimmers are lined up in the right order before their event. Just read off the meet sheet and tell the swimmers their lanes.
• Chief Timer (Saturday): This role starts 2 backup stopwatches in case of a timer malfunction, collects the time cards after each event, and makes sure the official time is circled. Easy peasy with a front row seat for all the swims!

The commitment would be to serve in these positions for each of the 5 Saturday meets (4 “A” meets + divisionals)—or find a replacement if you can’t make one. Your family would not have to sign up for any other volunteer shifts for the season.
