Leah Kirk is an experienced Swim and Dive Coach with over nine years of diving coaching experience and a lifelong connection to the sport. A swimmer growing up in East Tennessee, her introduction to diving came early, at just five years old, when her cousin pushed her off a 10-meter platform in exchange for a trip to Mr. Gatti’s after swim lessons. It’s safe to say she stuck the landing and never looked back.
Leah currently serves as Head Dive Coach at South County High School and previously led the Swim & Dive program at Meridian High School as Head Coach, where she guided her team to a 2023 State Championship and grew the dive program from three athletes to ten plus. She has coached divers to state titles and is passionate about building confident athletes in a supportive, high-energy team environment.
Outside of the pool, Leah works as a Student Information Systems Administrator for a public charter school in Washington, DC. She lives in Alexandria with her husband, Scott, and their cat, Chowder, and enjoys traveling and exploring new places whenever she gets the chance. She’s excited to be on deck this summer and can’t wait to work with the dive team!
