Hello, Stingrays! My name is Maia. I am completing my second year at California Lutheran University, studying sports psychology and competing for the Regals swim team. I’ve lived in Northern Virginia for the past 6 years after moving a few times due to being a military child. I’ve been swimming for over a decade and love everything about the sport, especially competing in my favorite events: The 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle. This will be my 7th year with the Hunt Valley Stingrays, my 5th year in a coaching role, and my 2nd as a head coach! I’m extremely excited to continue being a part of this wonderful team, and I’m looking forward to this summer!" - Coach Maia
Hey Hunt Valley!
My name is Andrew. I’m currently in my second year at Longwood University, where I’m majoring in Nursing. I’ve been swimming since I was 3, and grew up as a Cottontail Cobia until I graduated. I swam for West Springfield High School as well as the Potomac Marlins. I’ve been coaching since I was 15. My favorite event is the 100 backstroke. Swim and coaching are huge passions of mine, I’m super excited to join the team and can’t wait to get to know and work with all of you!
Hi Hunt Valley! My name is Dawson. I have been swimming for Hunt Valley since I was an 8 and under. I swam for Sea Devils, the St James, and Machine Aquatics National Team. I currently hold swim records for HVST and West Springfield High School. My favorite event is the 100 Breastroke. I love coaching, being in the water, and working with the Little Rays. My goals this season as head coach are to create a positive environment where kids look forward to coming to practice, have fun, and build their skills and confidence in the water. I look forward to seeing you all this summer! - Coach Dawson
