⏰ Time Trials This Saturday, June 13
Stingray Families,
Time Trials are almost here! Our meet is this Saturday, June 13 at Hunt Valley.
Please review the important details below so you can plan for an early and smooth morning.
⏰ Schedule — Early Morning Arrival
Because we have nearly 180 swimmers participating and are asking swimmers to swim every legal stroke, we need to start early to avoid overlapping with pool operating hours.
6:30 AM — Swimmer Arrival
6:45 AM — Marshals on Deck
6:45–7:15 AM — Warmups
7:05 AM — Timers Briefing at Pavilion
7:30 AM — Meet Start
The order of events will be:
Freestyle → Backstroke → Breaststroke → Butterfly
Each event will be divided by age group:
8 & Under, 9–10, 11–12, 13–14, and 15–18.
☀️ Weather Reminder
It looks like it will be a sunny morning. Please pack:
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Towels
- Dry clothes
- Favorite set of Goggles (& 1 extra pair)
- Swim cap, if your swimmer wears one
- Extra bathing suit (never hurts to be over prepared)
- Chair for your swimmer and yourself
We will have extra canopies set up to help provide shade.
🏊 Team Area
Swimmers should stay in the team area on the grass behind the baby pool and diving boards until they have completed all of their events.
This helps coaches quickly find swimmers when it is time to line up for Clerk of Course. If you see your swimmer walking around the pool, please help direct them back to the team area.
🦺 Marshals
All marshals should be on deck by 6:45 AM with vests on during warmups. Vests and quiet signs will be available at the pool.
🤍 Volunteer Apparel
Thank you to all the parents who volunteered! Volunteers are encouraged to wear a white shirt and navy-blue bottoms, which is the standard NVSL volunteer attire.
Since this is not an NVSL-sanctioned meet, it is okay if you do not have the exact attire, but we appreciate everyone dressing this way when possible.
🚗 Parking
The parking lot will fill quickly. If the Hunt Valley lot is full, please park at Hunt Valley Elementary School across the street.
Please do not park directly in front of the pool on Sydenstricker Road. Parking is allowed across the street from the pool.
☕ Concessions
We will have breakfast items available for purchase, including:
- Anita’s breakfast burritos
- Donuts
- Usual snack shack food and drinks
Traveling Tom's gourmet coffee truck will also be available starting at 6:15 AM.
📎 Swimmer Events & Psych Sheet
Swimmer events and the psych sheet will be available later today on SwimTopia.
You will be able to find them:
- As attachments in SwimTopia
- In the SwimTopia app once posted
Please check later today so you know which events your swimmer is entered in before Saturday morning.
🩱 Swimsuit Swap/Sale
A swimsuit swap/sale table will be set up under the pavilion.
If you would like to sell old suits or swim gear, place items in a Ziploc bag labeled with:
- Size
- Price
- Your name
- Your Venmo information
No credit cards will be accepted for swimsuit swap purchases.
Please drop off items under the pavilion and pick up any remaining items at the end of the meet. A volunteer will monitor the table during sales.
