Due to a significant and unexpected change in air quality conditions since last night, the air quality in our area has reached the Very Unhealthy range.

For the safety of our swimmers, divers, coaches, volunteers, and families, all Hunt Valley Swim & Dive activities scheduled for today are canceled, including:

According to guidance from AirNow, the Environmental Protection Agency’s official air-quality resource, children and other sensitive groups should avoid all outdoor physical activity when air quality reaches the Very Unhealthy range. Everyone else should avoid prolonged or intense outdoor activity.

We recognize that this is a change from the information available last night, but conditions have changed considerably this morning. The health and safety of our Stingray community must remain our priority.

Please keep outdoor activity to a minimum today, monitor local air-quality reports, and follow any additional guidance provided by your family’s healthcare provider.
