Welcome to Hunt Valley Lil' Rays Registration for the 2026 Season!

We’re excited to have you join us for an amazing summer of swimming and fun! The registration process is simple for both new and returning families. Once your registration is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

Season Details

• Program Dates: June 29th – July 24th
• Lil Ray Photo Day & Individual Photos: July 10th (No practices - Arrive by 8am)
• End-of-Season Meet Lollipop Meet: July 24th

The Lil’ Rays program is designed for our youngest swimmers who are not yet able to swim a full length of the pool. The primary goal is to provide a fun, safe environment where Lil’ Rays can learn to swim and prepare to join the swim team in the future.

• Skill Development: Coaches aim to help older Lil’ Rays become proficient enough in at least one stroke to participate in a Monday evening swim meet by the end of the season.
• Team Inclusion: Lil’ Rays are part of the swim team and are encouraged to join in all team events and activities.
• Advancement: At the coach’s discretion, swimmers ready for more advanced instruction may move up to regular team practices.

Coaching and Practice Structure

• Led by a Head Coach and a team of experienced older swim team members trained to work with young swimmers.
• Coach-to-Swimmer Ratio: Never more than 1:5, ensuring individual attention and safety.
• Practice Assignments:
  • Practice times will be assigned based on swimmer ability and communicated by email no later than Friday, June 6th.
  • We will try our best to coordinate practice times for families with multiple swimmers on the team, though this cannot be guaranteed due to ability-based class placement.

Parent Involvement

Families with only Lil’ Ray swimmers do not have a financial volunteer requirement. However, your support at team events, such as breakfasts or swim meets, is greatly appreciated.
